Cornwall’s coffee scene has quietly become one of the best in the UK. Forget the chains — the county is full of independent roasters, tiny cafes, and passionate baristas who take their beans seriously. We’ve spent years drinking our way across Cornwall, and these are the places we keep going back to.
This isn’t a sponsored list. Nobody paid to be here. These are simply our favourite places to enjoy everything from a flat white to a pour over (or even a creme brûlée latte).
108 Coffee House
Kenwyn Street, Truro
Truro’s top spot for ‘Real’ coffee. Great people, awesome coffee (mainly Origin) and you should try the poached egg, smashed avocado with a side of mushrooms.
Beacon Coffee
Falmouth
There are lots of good options in Falmouth for coffee but Beacon tops the list. Rotating guest coffees always made impeccably. Highly recommended.

Penryn
This ex Origin coffee site continues the tradition of top quality coffee and adds some really interesting food options.
Rising Ground
Wadebridge
Rising Ground is about as good as it gets. One of the premiere roasters in Cornwall combined with some of the best baristas, add a dose of cool vibe and this place is hard to beat.
Box & Barber
Newquay
It was hard to pick just one place in Newquay (we may well just add some more soon!). Box & Barber really did shine through with their mix of lovely coffee options and a great menu. Make sure you get there early as they get BUSY!
Lammana
The Quay, Looe
What an amazing find in Looe! With all due respect, for years I struggled to find ‘my’ kind of coffee in Looe but Lammana is now one of my favourite coffee spots in Cornwall. It’s easy to miss so make sure you check the map. Lovely people as well.
